A hint comes in three steps. First it tells you where to look. Then it explains why the move works, in plain words. Only if you ask again does it place the digit for you. You get three free hints a day, and you can earn more by watching a short video, or get unlimited hints with Plus.
By which solving techniques a puzzle forces you to use — not by how many digits it starts with, which most apps use and which tells you almost nothing. A Warm Up puzzle never needs more than spotting the only digit that fits a square. An Expert one needs patterns that span the whole board.
Everything is stored on your device only, so records do not move to a new phone and cannot be recovered if the app is deleted. We are looking at adding iCloud backup.
Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops any further charge. You can also tap Restore Purchases in the app’s Settings if Plus is not showing after reinstalling.
